The Founding Fathers of the WARFL were Gordon Squires, Roy Williams, Ken Allen, Charlie Matheson, Roger Utting, Jim Burns, Jim Carroll, Frank Baguley, Vic Hodgkiss, Ken Ingram, Alf Schaffer, Bob Chester ,Bert Wells, & Frank Hudson-Taylor.
They initally meet with various groups at Roy Williams home, at Barney Silbert's store, at the Park Hotel, at Mends Street Hall, and Charlie Matheson's house in Cottesloe.
Those people also included such names as Barney Silbert, Dr Bill Dermer, Doug Tonkin, Terry Sullivan, Joe McGuiness and Ray Owen from the Fremantle Club, Don Court, Dan Fogarty and George Dixon, from the South Perth Club, Jack Cousins, and Graham Washington , from Cottesloe, and from the Perth Club Sam Cohen, Ray Moore, Norm Stolberg, and Merv Jenkins.
